no moonlighting (or personal conduct that can effect your work) but no raise

I just recently learned about this sub and I look forward to learning! I've heard people say they are learning here! So my job pays crap. I knew that when I took the job but I needed something. I had rage quit the most toxic job I've ever had (but it also had okay pay and amazing benefits). I had been without a job for 2 months and even though I was applying non stop I couldn't get a job. So when a company finally gave me an offer, I took it. They warned me up front that the pay was lower than I tend to get and that I'm way over qualified but I'd likely advance fast and get a raise.

I warned them I was only going to do the level of work for my pay and not going to be an overachiever. They agreed.

So I felt that job was better than no job. When I was hired the benefits were okay. Then 3 months later the company was purchased by another company and now I have half the benefits I had when I was hired.

I was first told if an opening came open for a promotion I wouldn't have to wait because my work history, then later I was told I have to work there 6 months, but now it's a year.

NOW they want me to sign a new document. It says no moonlighting, no side hustles, and no personal conduct on our off ours that could result in missing work.

Well I'm starting a working farm and my dad is in hospice. 1 is absolutely a second job and the other has been causing me to miss work. I told my boss I won't sign it. He said he knows about my dad and the farm and I'm okay. While I believe he believes this, I don't trust my job.

I'm currently job hunting (never really stop but wasn't looking hard before) but I'm scared now about loosing my job because I refuse to sign it. I doubt this but is there anyway out of signing it?
