I’m looking for a new job, I am physically unable to do mine in fast food industry as I am literally fainting from standing for so long and bending over so often (3 times a minute for 8 hours straight with a newly discovered heart condition makes me literally faint so they keep sending me home). So I need some kind of entry level office job but I love talking to customers/ clients. So I’m looking for an office assistant/ secretary. I know I’m the listings they ask for certain things and “requirements” but honestly if your not willing to spend 1 day teaching aka training someone how to use your filing system or the copy/ fax machine then how is gen z supposed to enter any form of a career outside of retail or some weird online thing. I want a basic office job, 9-5 where I sit greet people and answer the phone. A job that has been a thing for a century if not longer! Why do I need 5 years of experience in that position for it to be entry? And how do I know how many years of “computer experience” I have?!? I’m gen z handed a super computer at age 9 does that count?
