I understand the concept of having no phones on the job, especially if it’s super busy. But there are days where it’s going to be super slow to the point where you just literally stare off into space for 20-30 minutes. However, my supervisor purposely lets other people that are in the same position as me to be on their phone just chilling waiting for it to get busy again. I, on the other hand cannot be on my phone and I get told multiple times to put it away but the guy next to me and others nearby has privileges?? This pisses me off as I can only sit there, close my eyes and just nap it off or just stare into space.
I know I’m probably gonna get some comments saying “why don’t you confront to your boss about it?” Well the thing is I can come off kinda harsh just only the way my voice is like (I’ve been told by other people and they agree, but I still don’t understand??) I feel like if I go confront, I have the possible chance of perhaps losing my job or just getting into some sort of trouble because of this complaint.
I want to relax and chill, and have that freedom like the others near me, but why can’t I? Is it because of my race? Is it because of who I am as a person? Too many negative questions on my mind I just don’t get it.
