no PTO – only sick time, but have weddings to attend

Hi! I’m a speech therapist in a school (so we follow teacher’s requirements/schedules). I started this job in February and haven’t taken any days off yet. This upcoming school year, I have two weddings in September and October that fall the day before a long weekend (one of which I’m a bridesmaid). At my school, they have made it clear that there is ONLY sick days (12 accrued throughout the year with a summer program) and they are to be used for illnesses and doctor visits. Looking for advice if I should be honest and risk going unpaid, or risk calling out the day of (probably will look bad and they may ask for a doctors note).
