“Nobody wants to work anymore.”

I never want to hear any of these conservative fucks say this shit ever again. Here I am at 28, five years after graduating college with a BA in Film studies and (some) industry experience under my belt. What does that get me? A termination from a local news channel at the very end of my “probationary” period as a camera operator. FIVE MONTHS AGO. They’ll keep the two reporters that lack any sort of journalistic integrity, but terminate the CamOp with the most resume experience. (Note: it’s worth noting that the reason given for my termination was for a speeding incident. However, after running into one of my former coworkers, he told me my position was never filled and they’ve been short staffed since my termination.) Meanwhile, the job market in my state is pure fucking garbage. Couldn’t even get a job as a delivery driver for one of Amazon’s delivery contractors.

Idiots kept saying last year that my state was going to be the “film capital” of the south, which I very well might. Will they hire crew locally? Nope.

No money, no job, living with my family, and limited transportation availability. Fuck you Oklahoma and your goddamn employment laws.
