I meet a lot of people who put their entire life into jobs because they offer “good” benefits. What keeps a lot of them at the same job for decades? Retirement benefits. They tell me that when they've worked enough years, they'll retire… …and get a different job, because the benefits aren't good enough to pay for living by themselves. That isn't retirement and we shouldn't call it that.
