The system is designed so certain criminals have to work hard labor jobs and they're never meant to progress or be rehabilitated in America. This lack of ingenuity indirectly causes people who haven't been deemed 'guilty' by the system to pretend they haven't committed crimes. So they live long term dedicating themselves to preserving their “innocence” by looking outwards at people who have done something they've done and constantly point the finger at us because we've been caught.
This allows them to pretend that guilt and innocence are directly opposite, so I'm the guilty party so you never have to be. Just don't go to work because you'll be red flagged by people who worked their whole lives dutifully preserving their false sense of innocence even though you built your mind around a growth mentality which is directly opposite of your old ways.
