(Not sure where to post) my job offered a raise for switching to night shift which they just started. After a month of being on night shift they said “hey theres no raise there was a miscommunication and you cant go back to day shift”

i tried filing a civil court claim and the employer said “ he was through a temp agency so its not our issue”(even tho theyre the ones who offered the raise) isnt this illegal for them to do? What else can i do. Since then they got rid of second shift so im back on first but still mad about it
