Coming up to 4 years now I’ve worked in the medical field. I climbed the ranks as a patient transporter to a rad tech assistant for our MRI department.
But in between that time I worked at a mental health institute. For 7 months I tolerated abuse and neglect.
The patients sort of had an excuse… The nurses however are a different story.
I’ve seen nurses give injections so vast that ER staff said it could put down a horse. I’ve saved a co-worker from being assaulted by a patient while they (the nurses) stood behind a glass box and watched. These are just one of many things that these nurses have done.
And what was management’s excuse?
“But they’re good nurses though.”
