So I’ve been a Starbucks indentured servant (to access the academic benefits) for almost 3 years now. I am a shift supervisor and we recently took on a new store manager in training who has no Starbucks experience of any kind. I understand he’s trying to do whats best for himself and his career, but having feign patience through gritted teeth while I explain the basics of my “unskilled labors” feels outside of the scope of my responsibilities. Furthermore, the training is uncompensated and feels like such a waste of time.
I should not be responsible for babysitting an adult male who will be my boss in the future in any minimum wage capacity. Either I’m incompetent unskilled labor orIm capable of training my bosses which means I should be compensated accordingly. The pluralism is mindbogglingly childish.
So I implore whomever it may concern: what the actual fuck, Starbucks?
