Novel about a bullshit job and the change of work culture – what’s important?

I'm working on a novel about a woman who gets into a famous company only to end up on a roll of a bullshit job where she has basically nothing to do. Lots of descriptions of boring tasks and conversations with her slick co-worker who seems to love being forgotten about. She gets kinda desperate in that position. When she later begs for a proper task, she gets send through Europe to chase down one of the shareholders of the company. That guy is where she wants to be: In a safe position, with enough money – but succumbing to a kind of pointless hedonism. The two of them end up in a weird romance but instead of becoming a rich girl at the side of a guy our heroine slowly gets dragged into a path of reform and maybe even revolution in the world of work. So far my synopsis. The whole thing is suppose to be more absurd and funny.

Now, I ask you: What should be part of that novel? What should be the emphasis on? What aspects should a project like this focus on?
