Observed Holidays

Just curious, does anyone have an employer that's trying to dodge observed Holidays (i.e. Monday the 26th in observance of Christmas, or Monday the 2nd in observance of New Year's)? It just seems too opportunistic that Christmas Eve – Christmas and New Year's Eve – New Year's Day fall both on Friday and Saturday. I would have to imagine that some employers think they can get out of recognition of Holiday time off / Holiday pay. Edit: Both fall on Saturday and Sunday
