Off my chest: I still have my old boss’s phone number in my phone even though he died three years ago.

I don’t know why to be honest. I’ve thought about it. He was a jerk. He made my life hell. But the look of sheer panic in his face when I saw him in office the week before he died made me so sad. He found out he had late stage rectal cancer before he died two weeks later. He seemed just fine. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that look. I didn’t know where to share this and just had to get it off my chest.
