Offered two different jobs for the same pay. One offered remote work and 6 weeks vacation. Boomers at the other argued their on-site and 3 weeks off was better because they do a 9/80 schedule. Why are places acting like this is a positive?

Like the title says… I got an offer for 30% more, on-site 8-6 Monday to Thursday. Fridays are 8 hours or off every other. I accepted because it was better than my current job. Few days later a second offer comes in, normal 8-5, fully remote, same pay and benefits and 6 weeks of vacation instead of 3 weeks. I call to withdraw my offer from job #1. They get upset with me and claim that theirs is better because you get every other Friday off, which is 26 extra days off a year or 5 weeks of vacation. I have had a few work places starting to act like a 9/80 is a benefit. Its just a change in schedule. What the hell is this about?
