Office work is a serotonin blocking hell.

I’m a 21 year old man working as a web designer. I initially loved my line of work, as I get to explore my creativity, do a lot of artistic stuff that makes me happy, however, my current work environment has turned my working life into hell. I got hired at a well paying corporate company three months ago, which initially started out fine, but increasingly repetitive office work has greatly dulled my enthusiasm. I work in a relatively quiet office space, in a cubicle. It’s nicely decorated, water and food are available at all times, I rarely see my bosses, but it’s extremely boring. Even though I’m being paid well, I still dread the long hours I have to face every week. I’m honestly dying at the sight of my computer every morning and I smoke more than ever. It’s not the job itself, it’s the gut wrenching mundane aspect of the setting. I don’t find anything to look forward to anymore at work and that is the most terrible feeling. It’s just always the same.
