Old boss decides to come back a month after a month, changes all schedules without notifying me and my other co-workers

I feel like I may or may not made the right call, but I bailed on my temp job. I was told by another boss I could work without conflicting my schedule (therapist appointment and appointment with doctor from another city for my transition care once a month, if i missed it, it would have been the 3rd month that i missed it) that week. I was told by another boss I could work without conflicting my schedule (therapist appointment and appointment with doctor from another city for my transition care once a month, if i missed it, it would have been the 3rd month that i missed it) that week. Suddenly, the day I went to my job, I was told my schedule and last week, an old boss that basically bailed for over a month suddenly came back to change not just my schedule, but everyone else, including the boss I actually liked. The person was a creep to my partner while she worked there before I worked there and a bigot from out of town as well (Martinsville go figure) as both a boss at that gamestop along the one I lived and worked at here in my town (Bloomington). He smiled and waved at me in a way that creeped me the fuck out while I was with my partner shopping around. Dude basically either hated me being there or was a chaser (idk and idc since I basically bailed to keep my mental health well balanced and for the fact the pay was horrible and issues from before). I am covered for financially for a month or so, so I walked away without guilt and my safety intact. But it bothered me to no end if I made the right call.
