So I work in the pizza delivery scene, my manager puts up a list of the average delivery times for all of our drivers every month (though there’s been times where they don’t update it until way later, but I still hear about it every month) and I’ve been at the bottom for about 3 months, and not even by a big margin. I’ve been having issues with my car as well as taking some of the longer deliveries it seems every damn day. Christmas Eve I had went out to my car to head to work and found that someone or something had busted my front passenger window. I made a claim with my insurance company and they still haven’t gotten back to me about covering it at all. While it’s been busted I’ve had to put packaging tape over my window to continue making money for rent and other bills. I can’t go too fast with the tape on due to the sheer amount of wind lately that’s been weakening the tape, I’ve reinforced it 3 times and it’s holding out now better than ever. I actually improved on my average times by about a quarter of a minute, yet I’m still being publicly humiliated for improving, I stuck with the company when the positions were thin and there were maybe 3 people to drive, now we have about 7 and just feel that maybe I just don’t belong there. At least with one manager they’ve done nothing but target me for months now, I’ve been with them since May and it was like a flip of a switch about 2-3 months ago and hasn’t gotten better since. I don’t have any hate for them but they don’t have to punish me for improving.
