I have an overworking coworker. I wouldn’t say she’s hardworking because she’s just creating unnecessary workload for herself that she can’t manage. She is in school while working full time so it is very clear at this point she’s stressed out. She’s been with this company for over 10 yrs and I’m new. And I feel like she doesn’t like me because I’m trying to have my work life balance. She’s always so hostile to me whenever I ask questions and try to dump administrative repetitive work to me so she doesn’t have to deal with it. It’s just fucking annoying because whenever she’s not able to manage all her workload she created unnecessarily, it’s me who has to finish them. She preaches about breaking herself into 10 different pieces in team meetings. Having more workload doesn’t mean better pay as I’m work in public sector. I’m 90% sure she doesn’t make much more than me because we’re not unionized. I’m communicating with management about not being able to take her workload cuz I don’t have the capacity – we’re understaffed too. I’m just so annoyed at this coworker overworking her wage and creating unnecessary workload. She’s like 30 yrs older than me and Im in my 20s so the mentality is really different I guess. I think she takes pride in working hard but I ain’t overworking myself when I am getting poverty wage. I want to leave but I haven’t got another offer yet. I find this job so stressful to a point I can’t sleep at night
