Incompetent management is making me quit

Currently working as a cashier at a franchise of a popular hardware store. Typing this on the job because I don't care anymore lmao. To sum up the problems of this business, let's just say that I'm 20, working part time on the weekends while i study full-time for about a year now, and am the most experienced employee of the store apart from the managers. The two bosses are completely incompetent, show up maybe one hour a day to pretend they're doing work and have no idea whats happening in their store. The shop is CONSTANTLY understaffed because the people who apply either quit after a couple of weeks or get fired on some power trip by the bosses. They are so addicted to micromanaging they wont even let us change the stupid fucking atrocious radio im forced to listen to all day. They're not even IN THE STORE…

After living with roommates/housemates for years I’ve finally created an app to help get chores done and expenses paid!

Throughout the last couple of years of living with friends, the biggest issues we've always had were people forgetting to do their chores or paying each other back for expenses. As much as we all loved living together we were all frustrated with this issue sooo much. Because of all this, I finally decided to do something about it and I channeled my frustration into something productive. I spent the last few months building and iterating a chore & expenses organizing the app from scratch. It's not much but I feel like it's pretty good so far. I'll answer any questions you guys may have below. TL;DR – I had issues with my friends and I forgetting to do chores and pay each other back for expenses, built a 10x better app than any that exists to solve this issue once and for all

City Counselor in my city posts Twitter thread of hopeless apartment search. Surprise, he can’t afford even a room on his salary

As you guys know, I've been looking for a new apartment. And it's wild. I've applied to 7 places now of which 6 were taken within 30 minutes. The 7th at $1k/month sent me this pic.twitter.com/GppBDNh7nR— Burhan Azeem, Cambridge City Councilor (@realBurhanAzeem) March 5, 2022

So burnt out

I started working when I was 15. I'm 33 now. Every single job I've ever had where I've stayed any substantial amount of time (how idk, looking back…) has made me feel like complete shit. And no it's not my attitude, I go I'm each job with same attitude. Same approach, and things seem to go really really well for a while..I'm kind courteous offer help positive hard working etc…then things always go south for whatever reason. I guess I am considered that nice guy, the yes man no problem I don't mind guy, at work. Always left feeling empty, like a target, my work is no longer good enough for coworkers and boss, I'm lightly reprimanded, I get upset and leave without any notice. Depression anxiety meds alcoholism all play a role. But I just left yet another fucking job, back to the hurry find another shit life so…

Capitalism works for the 1% but America needs a form of government that works for the 99%

I don’t know what this government is, to be honest I think it’s one that does not exist yet, maybe a hybrid? We know capitalism, monarchies, autocracies, chieftains, communism, dictatorships don’t work. Something that has always bugged me is why America took heavy inspiration from the Roman Empire? The empire lived long and was prosperous at times but was far from perfect government wise, if you know your history you can see the corruption is repeating itself. All I want is for our citizens to feel safe, know that they will always have their health taken care of, to not worry when they die how it’ll financially destroy their families, to have time for themselves and to travel. To have affordable housing and sustainable pay. We are not fuel for the flame of corporations we are living, breathing unique people who at the end of the day want to be…

We cannot expect most workers to adhere to covid restrictions when there’s no protections in place.

I realize this is an unpopular opinion, but it's an unfortunate side effect of the dystopia we live in. We are a family of 5. One of our 5 just tested positive for COVID. We are lucky enough to be in a position where: A) everyone who works can do so from home B) our still school-aged child is homeschooled and doesn't need to attend school However, I was thinking of what this would mean for our family if we weren't in this position. My husband works as a penetration tester, I have recently left the work force to homeschool our school-ager. We have a 19 year old daughter who has the ability to work from home, as well as an infant foster daughter, and I'm pregnant with another daughter. If my husband (who supports us) didn't already work from home full time (or have the ability to work from…
