They actively try to keep paying they’re employee absolute shit and then try to get away with it by having a “nice” company culture. Like no pay me what I’m worth you garbage bag of a company. They micro manage the fuck out of their employees, managers and have major company trauma and trust issues that get put into the employees. These companies expect way to much out of there employees and don’t want to pay us worth out time. Short to say I quit this week. Fuck em.

Without exposing too much about myself, I was in the final round for a position in New York City despite not living in the city. Until this point the company I was interviewing for had informed me the position was hyrbid which for the salary they were offering I was accepting of this because I wouldn't be able to afford living in the city on $50,000. During this interview they told me the role would require me to be in the city 4 days a week and 1 day at home. When I told them that it wouldn't be acceptable for me, the hiring manager got super defensive and essentially called me stupid for assuming the position would be at home at least 3 days a week. I am fortunate to have been able to save money to leave a job and start my own business. For the first time since I was 14, my time is completely my own. I'm also the happiest and healthiest I have ever been. Why should I have to sacrifice my health to produce wealth for others? Why shouldn't everyone be able to take the time they need to take care of themselves, instead of struggling to exist and laboring for others?
