I’m texting with a friend of mine and she told me that her manager makes her stay after she clocks out to check to make sure no one is stealing anything ( apparently she does this to everyone)and apparently the manager is taking between 20-30 min to go and clear them. I’m from Texas and from my understanding it’s illegal to do that. Oh and the manager tells them to clock out and wait. And advice that could help this because she thinks it’s ok but from my experience working, management always makes sure I don’t work off the clock.
Girl quits job during my training
For the record my position has nothing to do with sales. I'm a draftsperson, aka I make construction drawings on the computer all day and have 0 interaction with clients. I got full marks for teamwork and for accepting and implementing criticism. When they got to the point in the review about communication (which I thought stood for clearly communicating work-related subjects, but no it's about making small talk and friends in the office) they started it by, “I know different people have different personalities…”Yeah we do. And excuse me if not everyone has to be an extroverted ball of energy or goes to work to make friends. I'm here to work and I do my work well. It's not that I'm shy and I definitely speak up when I have questions or need clarification (which I got full marks on in the teamwork section of the review), I just keep…
77% of managers are high on power
Kleptocracy!
I really like this idea…
I see a lot of people use the argument “if you want $15/h, go get a skill” There are really skilled people out here making $31,200 (BEFORE Uncle Sam gets his cut) and they’re okay with that??? If you’re skilled and you’re only making $31,200, you should be more angry at your job and not people talking about wanting to make that much money. Only 30% of your income should be going towards housing. 30% of $31,200 is $9360. Divide that number by 12 and that gives you a monthly housing cost of $780. Show me a place where you can cover your rent/mortgage plus all your utilities for $780 a month. Why do some people hear that McDonald’s workers are gonna make $15/h and your mind automatically goes to teenagers rolling up to their shift in a Lamborghini and going home to their McMansion when they get off $15/h…
