I’ve noticed in multiple topics over the last few days in other subreddits, people uploading the picture their delivery drivers did for them (after they included wanting one in their orders), or asking them to write a joke on the pizza box. Anybody who points out that this is wrong and minimum wage workers aren’t your performing monkeys, gets downvoted into absolute oblivion and called bores or insulted as whining babies. For a job that relies on tips, adding facetious instructions like these to your order is a form of coercion, the driver has to feel that if they don’t do as instructed they will lower their chances of a tip, and increase their chances of a bad review or social media takedown. Surely I’m not the only one who feels this is toxic as fuck and has to stop? Get your pizza, tip your driver and fuck off. Thank…

Hi guys, really don't know what to do. My apologies in advance for my grammar, but English is not my main language. England here, got a customer job on the phone and it took 6 months to get it. During this months of course I have encountered tons of scams, rejections, I've been ghosted,I've performed behavioural useless tests, you all know.. I am from the south of Europe and I've been traveling and working abroad since 2013. I have 9 years of experience in customer service, call centre. Sadly my country doesn't offer so much and I've entered this tunnel of call centre and I've been not able to find anything else. It's ok, I should have thought and known better when I finished my high school. I needed a job, I wanted to be indipendent but today I'm not able to find anything else. Back to the job, applied,…
used to like my job
I'm a delivery driver who works for a cooperatively owned company held by the franchise and owners. During a delivery I was attacked by a store employee, hit and grabbed by the throat, in front of the manager on duty, my co worker and anyone visible to the drivethrough. This person, still works for this brand and at that restaurant I deliver to 2 times a week. I live in the state of New York so there isn't a criminal charge I can file, harassment 2 would be the offence according to the police report. The manager and their district manager have changed their stories and have to my knowledge not taken any administrative action. My company's hands are tied. I have not seen the accused at a delivery since the day of the occurence but have knowledge she still works there. Do I have any kind of potential lawsuit…
Reprimanded 3 times for 1 incident.
I audio record any and all interactions with management when I can discretely do so. I have recorded receiving a verbal warning over a minor incident. (I grabbed the wrong key for a task) I have recorded the discussion on receiving a written warning that I refused to sign, over the same exact incident. The refusal of signing prompted them to give me a “consultation” / coaching over the same incident. Which I recorded. I have been reprimanded 3 times over one incident. And they threatened (“suggested”) I look for another job. What are your thoughts?
I got paid for something I knew, today.
Like, a week's usual pay (in my cashier job) for a few hours of research and application. It felt really good. I don't need a lot of money, but I'd love to make all I need in a few hours, every week. I'm older, and I do know my way around several categories of shit. Hook Me Up.
