unpaid wages in Florida
I worked for 7 days before I decided the job wasn't for me due to glaring issues (I've posted a bit about it previously) I quit and waited a whole month before I was paid and in the end I was paid for only 2 days out of the seven. Does anyone know what I should do? I've got proof and witnesses that I was there and working. Theres hours I spent on computer training that's logged on a website (I'm going to try to access it today). It's a huge business, even as a franchise it makes millions, I know it's only 5 days but it was a awful experience and with prices going up I need that to get food for my kid and I.
Question for salaried employees
Has anyone ever quit a salaried position due to required hours worked? Being scheduled 50+ with no autonomy on days worked and not getting 2 days off in a row.
Antiwork Anthem?
Yes I do. I'm here for money. Just like you.
Remote job: Cameras on at ALL TIMES!
Just started a new job and they are camera Nazis in training. I literally will turn mine off for about a minute a few times just to stand up and I get messages saying I'm violating training policy. It's so micro managy. Like, I'm a grown-ass adult. I know I need to pay attention in training if I want to succeed. Why must I be watched the entire day? I know it's so they can make sure people are there and paying attention but it's just absurd. Multiple times a day the trainers are bitching about cameras. Feels like I'm a kid in high school. I personally get a lot of anxiety having to look at myself and it's super distracting to me. I'd be able to pay attention more if I was off camera. Anyway, just wanted to vent. Is it like that with all remote jobs?
I finally quit after 18 months
I finally quit my work after I had in mind of doing so for the past 2 months. We basically got ordered to work in a very messy enviroment full of bird shit and dust just because of their mismanagement. I also got paid nearly 2$ and hour so that wasn’t worthy at all. FYI the mattress factory is located in the Balkans

I thought I was sick due to a new medication I was on (I had been sick from it previously and symptoms were similar) but my boyfriend had smoked salmon this past Sunday and he was sick as well. Definitely not the extent I was, and he texted my boss at 6am to let her know that there was no way I was well enough to come in. I was incapacitated, hadn’t slept through the night whatsoever and was unable to keep water down from how sick I was. My boss texted back that our CEO wouldn’t accept a text message call out and I needed to leave a voicemail. I haven’t responded.
