Two friends said this companys boss who arranges trailer routes does it very well so I should work there. Fair enough, I went and agreed on basic principles. If away from home, I have 12 hours work (can drive 9 hours, rest other work), but I live in central location so no worries 2-3 days a week at home with semi/larger. Another, I do not work on Saturday/Sunday. Comes first friday afternoon at 5pm, I check computer for my next load: saturday 9 am ship arrives… I call boss, remind I'm about five hours from home, and don't work on weekends as agreed. How To Take Action
Anytime you're job hunting and see a job that's 1099 or an Independent Contractor job like in sales but you see it has requirements that would be classified as an employee please report that. There's so many employers getting away with this to profit at the employees expense. My experience is in sales and marketing and commission only jobs don't make sense. They're only paying me when I'm successful rather than paying me for my actual work. I should be paid to work and incentivized for success. Take action every chance you get, I know with not working I'm bored and I wanna be productive so instead of just complaining to this circle jerk, complain to people who can do something about this maybe. At least gives me something to do so I maybe can accomplish a little bit of good in this wicked world.
I am getting ready to see a lawyer for some issues. In order to keep my evidence, I need to dump all my emails from outlook into a USB or something similar. Is there a way or some sort of app to do this? No emails have confidentiality attached to them.

So what do y'all think the likelihood is that a bunch of corporate real estate owners got together with their biggest lesees and said, “Hey buddy, if you institute a return to work policy we'll give you x% off your lease for the next couple of years.” I couldn't figure out why so many companies would be willing to throw away hundreds or thousands of manhours into commutes for largely computer-driven jobs, but it would make total sense if their now very underutilized corporate lease burdens could be lessened by forcing people back into the office. And the leaseowners sure would like people to get back into the office, since they're likely also residential property owners interested in keeping rents and property values high, which the elimination or decimation of downtown offices and subsequent possible conversion into residential property would undoubtably do.
So, I work as a substitute teacher in a county which has decided to hire a firm to handle their substitute teachers. This means I don’t even get the meager protections of a teachers union that I would if I worked for the county directly, I don’t get many benefits or bonuses, and I make barely above minimum wage. Thus, I work two jobs to try and make ends meet. This company is insufferable, however. For one, there’s little to no training. I had a day of training before I was hired on last year and I don’t receive any kind of instruction on how the company expects me to operate. What happens if a fight breaks out? I am a Hawaiian who works in Taiwan for reference. Any contractual job here is legally binding, so should company A decide to let go party B for any reason makes party B a recipient of severance pay. Most foreigners, here, do not know that they could be compensated for the remainder of the contract. It does not matter the reason of termination because every VISA revoked is an automatic compensation. Also, most foreigners, do not even know that the process of going to labor affairs being very simple in getting compensated. Many companies will try to just pay the final pay for the month. They even try to charge people for early termination because it cost the company lots of money.
