Did my work just bribe me?

Background: I quit my job almost 3 weeks ago due to a conflict with my boss regarding several things, but mainly WFH benefits that are only for some employees, COVID protocols that weren't informed and the fact that communication is complete shit at my job. If you want to read more you can check my posting history. I'm not in the US and have 12 weeks notice so my final day of work is June 28th. So i learned that I was not allowed to come to the annual work trip with casual fun and free dinner. Because of COVID we haven't had a trip for 2,5 years so this time everyone has been looking forward to it. My boss called me into her office saying that she didn't want me to come because she “has a trust issue” with me. I asked her why and she didn't have an…

question about wage discussion

A couple of hours ago one of my coworkers mentioned his hourly pay in passing and another coworker caught that he was making $2 more than her despite being here 6 months less. I am a supervisor so I may not be covered under the NLRA but I never mentioned my pay anyways (though after hearing his pay I 100% want a raise because he's making way too close to what I make considering I've been here 5 more years and am his supervisor but that's a whole other thing) But anyways, my question is about something I came across while reading more about wage discussions, it says it is unlawful for your employer to interrogate you about conversations concerning wages. Any idea what exactly interrogate entails? Not long after the discussion the woman who is making less called our boss upset and asking for more money even though it's…

On call pay for most of the month?

I'm an instructor at a technical school where almost everyone is doing this job as a side gig. I'm not working anywhere else right now so I want to post myself available for more shifts but my boss just decided that when someone posts that they are available then they will be given a class to teach or be placed “on call” where they get paid $2 an hour and must respond to help out any of the training going on that day and be ready take over a class if someone else calls off. So now on the first of the month I have to decide the full range of my availability and be 100% ready to work on those days even if I'm not getting paid my full rate? I don't have kids but if I did this wouldn't be acceptable at all. If it weren't for this…

anyone from the tech industry here?

I feel like tech is seen as this 'low effort, high reward' industry. For people like me who have only known corporate, it has fucked my mental health, my self esteem, my skillset and my ability to think outside the box. I want to see how others feel about being antiwork and are from this industry?
