I am a project manager for an IT company. It is a small company less than 50 employees and half of them live all across the USA. I have loved working with my programming team and building out projects. I've been watching the great resignation take place and I know why. We are all burned out. They don't understand that we are overworked and exhausted. I had worked a deal to transfer out of Project Management and into another department at the company. Less hours and a ton less of responsibilities. Well I cannot make it to the agreed date for my transition which is another 8 weeks due to the stress and the negative affects on me.
