Out of touch
A co worker is not renewing her contract and has already taken another job. After telling our GM, he asks her why nobody is staying. Her reply is that we are all facing serious burnout, and he just laughs at her saying that we’re too young to be burnt out. She also said that we were all underpaid and he said that the company used to be able to get away with the pay rates because everybody was applying for jobs. After hearing about this I am just completely checked out.
Told my boss Monday morning I had tested positive for Covid and was going to be isolating to which they replied self isolation is now no longer required and they still wanted me to come in. I'm very much looking forward to handing in my notice to a company that clearly values the wellbeing of their staff.
I mean, what is radical?
Is this allowed? Am I justified in demanding pay for my time spent?

Since starting here a little over a year ago, I have taken initiative, learned stuff beyond the original scope of my job, helped write new policies, and have single handedly run a job that usually requires at least two people while my coworker was on paternity. During this time, there were zero complaints about my performance, and plenty…
