Better working prospects- NC
Hello I make about 20 dollars an hour after tips working at a fine fine establishment but they have terrible work life balance and terrible work culture. I was so happy to get this job at first bc of the pay without the need to reeeducate but I have never been so physically worked in my life! In top of the grueling physical nature, we have no down time, no weekends off, and 3-12 shifts five days a week…. Even tho the pay is good I am unhappy with the work life balance and how physically and mentally demanding the job is. Do I have better options in the Raleigh metro area of nc??? TLDR: what r the best options for work in Raleigh metro, nc that don’t require experience or education??
I feel like everything, is at some level a side effect of capitalism. For a silly example – remember last year when the right was frothing at the mouth about a couple of Dr. SUES books that were out of print? Coworker and I were puzzled. No skill gap in our roles, performance is nearly identical. It makes no difference who works. A shift is a shift. Simple. According to the manager, this is “problematic behavior that goes against our culture. Follow through on your commitment. Be reliable.” Be reliable? Culture? I was so close to losing it and screaming in his face. Unbelievable lack of humanity. No consideration for HUMAN circumstances. This is what happens when working for a company with a million employees. I'm nothing more than…
