Went on linked in and got a message from a CEO of a construction company. Said he loved my profile and to please apply for a job that was lower then I am looking or qualified for. Was called for an interview and then learned that they are, “a church masquerading as a construction company …”. Went really well and told my wife about that and she laughed that's not you… They asked what my salary expectations were in another call and I told them 80-90 is what linked in and showed and I'm definitely worth the 90. The hr person explained that was a mistake and offered me 70. I told them no thank you let's get this cleared up. Instead of a call, I get an email the next day saying they are not interested now and the subject said, disposition… Lol
You’ve got to be kidding
“2-week notice” shamockery
Gave my two week notice on Monday morning. Cuz I thought that was the right thing to do (i.e. transition my accounts to a teammate; clear out my queue; etc). Senior Manager came to me at noon, ” you can just leave now. please sign this.” Should've known better
Another positive covid test
Im done… finally
After a long life of getting bent over by pretty much everyone i've worked for i can finally say im done. As a child i worked doing hay from 10-15 years old at a horse farm owned by one of the richest families in town. At 12 years old 3 friends and I broke a record and did 2650 bales in a day , the original record was set at 2000 by 8 adults. I made 56 dollars that day and almost died of heatstroke from working so hard no bonus, nothing. Fastforward a few years I get a job laying conduit for verizon, national grid, eversource, and westernmass electric. Decent paying job at the time, but some of job sites were 3-4 hours away and the boss did one way pay so i would lose out on alot of money. I quit that job and started doing contractor work…
no raise? then no more Mr. Nice guy.
I asked to be paid 80% of what the owners get paid for the same work and they ignored me and still won't fix any of my IT issues. Guess I won't be covering every holiday shift for them for the current 50% rate. By asses.
I'm beyond livid right now. Here's the gist of what's happening: during open enrollment last year, I checked prices for healthcare with my company and it was more expensive than my current insurance so I didn't go through with it. When I got my “confirmation of benefits”, healthcare wasn't listed. Imagine my surprise when I get my first paycheck in January and they've taken out $124 for healthcare. Apparently since my information was in the system they just went ahead and signed me up for it. I've been trying since then to get it removed and have been dealing with endless back and forth with our Benefits department. Today i got the news that they aren't going to fix it because I didn't “remove it before the Jan 1st deadline.” I tried opening another appeal and they won't let me. I tried escalating the issue and they refused to escalate…
