How to be a manager AND a good human
I don’t need to be guilt tripped every time I’m not feeling well. Sure, I called out a few weeks ago and called out for today due to a “personal emergency.” You could argue I’m calling out too much. But I’m so fucking depressed/anxious that I want to die and really need to see a psychiatrist. There are days I don’t have the energy to do anything yet when I’m laying down doing nothing I feel like my heart is about to burst through my chest. But anyway I called out via text. My boss replied, “We need to talk about this when you get back, we don’t have anyone to cover you.” That makes me so mad. It’s not my job to make sure our clinics are properly staffed. I’m not gonna make myself come in just to have a mental breakdown at work. I feel especially guilty cause…

No proper annual leave?! (England)
Hi, so when I started this job last year it was in the middle of the year (August) I was told I would get paid 2 days a month annual leave because I am entitled to it but couldn’t actually take the time off due to having some unpaid leave when I started. I was told in April the holidays would restart and I am entitled to four weeks. So I booked these holidays (April and September) but now I have been told I’m not being paid for any of the April one because I haven’t ‘earnt’ any yet but I will get the 2 days annual leave pay each month for 3 months…. And the September one I will only have earnt 6 days so I will only get paid half of my Holliday then carry on each month until April getting an extra 2 days pay a month….…
Call out, get shit…
Come to work sick dragging ass, get shit. So fuck me, right? Sorry. I’m in a mood.
Having a tough day and got caught self harming at work. When I asked why I told the lead I was having suicidal thoughts and some physical pain helped bring my depression back into a manageable place. Was told I could be fired for self harming and also got having suicidal thoughts/being depressed. Looked around on Google and couldn't find a sound definitive answer to the titles question. Help, please??
EDIT: I forgot “job” in the title. Hey there, I'm a 27 y.o. French guy working in IT tech support. About 1,5 years ago I, big dummie, joined a company of IT service provider that presented itself as a “big family” (redflag), who offered me a 25k/year salary + full benefits: 25 payed days off, a union, healthcare, half my public transport subscription payed by the company, etc. For French standards, the salary is a bit low, especially considering I had 2 years experience in that field and two degrees: one in English language and one in IT, making me a valued workforce as I can provide tech support in both french and english (and we all know how french people are unwilling to learn foreign languages). But well, I was dumb, I took that offer as it was still a raise from my previous job. As I said,…
