Consider how technological advancements over the last few decades have impacted our daily lives. The widespread adoption of the computer and cellphones have driven us away from the physical world and further into the digital space. Now, that isn't to say that these tools are inherently bad. I don't want to come across as being stuck in the past or having a negative outlook on progress. Technology should and usually does serve to provide access to a vast network of knowledge and information that would be otherwise unavailable. In aggregate, the tech world improves a myriad of processes and we are better for it. Now, let's tie this to work. Technology has allowed us to increase productivity at an astronomical rate. Hi guys, I have an important appointment today, and at my job they wouldn't give me 5 minutes out of work, however, if I find a way to bug or freeze? the Amazon Workspace , I can leave for a couple of hours (I work at home) I don't know if this is the right place but If anyone knows a way how I can freeze/bug Amazon Workspace so it seems it doesn't work? More context about the situation We are somewhere in europe, the company sees an employee leave every 2 months or so. Boss doesn't know the work he supposedly manages and is borderline gross with women. There is no organization. We have been asked for the passwords we use on our “work facebook accounts” so that he can read our messages with our co-workers. And finally before we were asked for daily reports, we were given a (terribly) written new contract that states that we shouldn't work in another position like our own for 3 years, among other things. Is it even worth it to be honest in your exit interviews? From my experience, I have both been honest & seen other coworkers be honest about all the reasons they no longer wanted to work at whatever bullshit company it is. However, it seems that nothing ever really comes from it. They always act like they read every single exit interview & take it in to account but if that were true how come nothing ever changes going forward?

I've been in my field for 17 years, I'm sick of the company I work for so I've been job searching. But why is it these companies want to pay someone with 17 year experience the lowest wages possible? And when I do find one that is offering decent pay I find out that the vacation time they off is terrible, first 4 years is a whole 5 days or 40 hours of vacation time. But once you hit 5 years you get 10 days or 80 hours. Or their insurance is total garbage, if they offer insurance at all

I’ve been applying around for work in NYC, I currently work in film and am looking to change it up cuz the hours are brutal. And I keep seeing that there’s “jobs”, how come no one I know seems to be getting hired anywhere/called back? Look, I’m broke so I’d even work a straight up punishing job at this point…but there isn’t even any of those calling me back. So what the hell are these people talking about?

I have had consistent issues at my job regarding scheduling. I told them I would be starting school soon and so my schedule would have to change; they said they'd be totally willing to accommodate. However that has not been the case. They did not honor my new availability and I had to go to HR and get my schedule changed. This has happened a few times since, with me even being scheduled during finals. I've also tried reducing down to 20 hrs but they kept scheduling me for 30 hrs, so again I had to get that changed. This latest time, I decided to just switch over to an on-call position. I have to come in once a month and from there I can just pick up shifts. The current schedule is still in effect, so on the days I'm unavailable I am simply calling in. I am taking…
