Theoretically, how is it possible if everyone stops tomorrow and rebels? Millions of us.We’re all basically slaves to the rich, what if we create a system of our own? I lay at night and think that we have all the power to get them to listen to us (especially during the war where they are too busy whipping d*cks at who’s country has more power) if we just stop following their rules. Man all I want is a nice home for my family and groceries I can actually afford and health. That’s all . They can’t even give us us that… wth.
This place was drowning for help. Literally in full on panic mode as employees walked out and they offered 14.50 an hour for a job that normally pays 20 an hour. The hiring manager was the first to speak. She stands up in front of the group and says: “Before anyone presents I would like to observe our current efforts. We are on every single job hiring site. We have purchased bill boards in all the citys surrounding ours as well as this one. Flyers are up on every location we own. We have dropped off similar flyers at lots of businesses around the following areas (like literally 75-100 locations.) More over our current program is that anyone who makes a recommendation and the person is hired and works at least 3 months is paid $100 bonus. We are also in the process of implementing $500 sign on bonuses for…
I woke up in the morning and I didn't feel good so I called off sick, instead of directing me to my managers phone I was sent to the speaker phone by the counter where my own coworker answered. I told them I was looking for the manager and I was calling off. The manager came with a big attitude. I have only called off twice all last year and none this year. He said why? You feel bad? Yes I'm sick I told him, I'll be in tomorrow. He said thanks in a sarcastic way. I asked for what and he said not coming in. I don't understand why I'm getting treated like this. I got upset and hung up. He called me right back and I yelled at him that he could never talk to me like that again. Later on I got a call from the owner…
Where’s the Free Money?
I’ve heard twice over the past couple of weeks that no one wants to work anymore and that people are getting all this free money. So last week, a construction contractor started the same spiel and mentioned how he’s not like that because he has always been someone who feels that it’s important to work. I asked him about this free money and that seemed to catch him off guard. He then pointed out that two people who he would contract work to were now working full time for companies in their professional specialty. So I asked him in a roundabout way, “Is it that no one wants to work…for you?” So now I’m wondering if this “free money” is actually just better pay, benefits and working conditions with better employers.
Just here to vent a little bit. I’m a cleaner ft and I’ll just start by saying that usually I don’t mind. I’m finally being paid a “living wage” and cleaning is something I’m good at. I have a lot of work that keeps be busy but the time goes by fast and my days are mostly uneventful. It just gets pretty dehumanizing sometimes. No matter how hard you work people look at you like a slave/servant. I will greet people who refuse to even make eye contact with me. I clean up every imaginable mess from human and animal waste to discarded medical waste and anything else people want to leave around. Sometimes it feels like people intentionally do these things because they can or they just don’t have any respect for the human that has to deal with it. Maybe it’s because I was raised in a poor…
No COL, No We Don’t Care
Was in a manager meeting yesterday and we were told no one is getting a cost of living raise, no merit raise will match inflation, and no one is going to pay based on what it actually costs to live. Rent, food, gas, etc? Doesn't matter. Pay will not reflect that. Companies really do not want to pay us to live. We're truly wasting our lives every day to survive and the companies we work for literally refuse to pay us what it costs to live. Whether it's because profits weren't high enough for it or because the top would take a cut… doesn't matter. We're just gears to keep things going and not people with lives.
Covid measures are ending and I hate it!
Now the covid measures are almost all gone, my company wants us to come back to the office full time. I really enjoy this job, but I hate to do it the full 40 hours. Working from home made my life so much better, I was finished after 20 hours and had the rest of the time for myself. This sucks! #endofrant
As the title states, my boss has no sense of boundaries. Literally. So if I’m at the hospital, god forbid, you’re still going to have the audacity to ask if I’m up to talk? Bro what in the fuckery. The reason I’m sick is because I’m overworked. I have a doctors note for a reason so y’all don’t bother me. I don’t even care about this job anymore. I’m quitting without a job lined up like whatever fuck this.
