My boss scheduled me one day this week

So as the title reads my boss scheduled me one day this week. I sent him a text immediately after I found out. I wrote him “hey why was I only schedule one day?” And after a hour he tried to call me. I was at home so I declined the call and shot him a text saying “hey I prefer text over phone calls especially when I'm at home.” He sent a message back saying “I'll talk to you on your next scheduled shift have a nice night.” I didn't message him back because honestly it feels like intimidation and I sent my coworker screenshots and they also agreed. He had also lied to said coworker stating that he called me earlier this week and something just feels off about it. I'm not sure what to do next and honestly I'd just really could use some advice on what…

Planning on quitting my warehouse job. (M23)

I have been working for this company for awhile now, it's unionized, benefits, dental, yearly bonuses and PTO. But Holy fuck, that still isn't enough for the immense workload thrusted upon you. For only 16.60/hr in Canada. This job has left me with permanent back pain I'm sure won't go away, wrist pain, probably tendinitis or carpel tunnel. The work is so fucking mind-numbing and the productivity “rate” they want you to hit is insane, and unsafe because you would have to travel at unsafe speeds through intersections in the warehouse. I told my supervisors of my wrist injuries, but they do not care. They keep giving me heavy workloads despite me begging for light duties, which will most likely exacerbate my wrist issues if I continue doing this job I guarantee it. Not to mention my mental health taking an absolute nose-dive working here for about a year, the…

Putting me into projects without giving me basic training.

Hi everyone, first post here. Just wanted to check if the below scenario is normal. I joined a company as a fresher and without even giving me basic training the put me as a lead of one part of a project with a major international client. I panicked but I managed to pull it off by learning basic stuff through YouTube and Google. They were very happy and gave me a good feedback and a small promotion within a year. My great nightmare started after the second project started and they put me as a lead for the same part of the project again. But this time the requirements were way beyond anything I could ever imagine. And I understood this could only be done by an experienced professional and not by someone who just learned basics through Google and even my company knows that. It's a team job and…

During the Great Depression in the 1930s while people were starving to death the richest families were throwing some of the most expensive and lavish parties in all of history to flaunt their wealth. Not much has changed since then.

CEO of the Year.

Since finding this board I have decided to post about my CEO and see what you all think. I'll start by providing stories of their advance level of playing the CEO. We have one employee who is allowed to bring his dog to work. The dog is very well behaved but sheds and scratches up the floor. It will always come over and say hi when you go into this person's office rendering it impossible to have a meeting in there. However, no big deal. It's a medium size mut that has some lab in it for sizing. Last week my yorkie poo was feeling very sick. We had to take the dog to the vet. So I decided to bring the dog with me to work for a couple days. The dog is very small and doesn't bother anyone or do anything. It just sits in my office in…

I work a part time job, low hours, and I feel guilty for not working longer shifts.

I work at a warehouse, it pays pretty good, and relatively easy work. I’m part time because I’m a full time college student. I only work about 10-15 hours a week and I feel guilty for not working longer shifts and I worry people think less of me. How to let go of this feeling?
