Companies have no loyalty to you so why should you have loyalty to them. My loyalty isn’t free. Over the last 3 years I have had 4 jobs and just got hired to the 5th which starts in a few weeks. Each one paying more than the last. I’ve hopped my way from 28k/yr to now the new job will be at 67k/yr. Seems it’s pretty much the only way to get any substantial pay increases these days anyway. Job 1. 28k Job 2. 32k Job 3. 41k Job 4. 53k Job 5. 67k The last three jobs were all within 13 months. Hop along and get your money. It has not stopped me from getting a job yet.
My time has finally come!
A transfer of power
Stop complaining
Stop complaining about going back to the office. It is right you get up and go to work, you lazy fucks.
The State of this Subreddit
this place has gotten boring. For the love of god, stop upvoting shitty anti-work memes.
I’m a university student and I met a friend in university as well and we want to build an NFT project together. He’s ranting about his idea 24/7 and never do it. So i said let’s start it. There are several things to do for it: Technical: Smart contract: another guy writes our smart contracts not him. Front end (mint page): me and another guy was working on it. Not him Create metadata: another guy again not him. Discord: me (he don’t even know how to turn on gif setting in discord) What he did: “hey guys let’s have meeting to do the work together, how’s the website doing, how’s smart contract doing” he didn’t pay us. Price determine: At first, he just puts out a price 0.15, i ask to lower it because it’s unreal expectations for people to buy in at that price with a project that puts…
My hours are cut again
10 hours a week. I don't know how to survive this. I'm scared. I know it's just slow season. But rent and bills don't care. Food costs don't care. Please be good to me, tax return.
I just Need Someone To Tell Me To Quit.
So, I'm going to do my best to make this long story short but, I have to give a lot of context. I work at a Diesel Mechanic shop in the Midwest. I've been here for about 5 years. I started here at the age of 20 and learned from the ground up. When I was hired in, it was the middle of summer, just me and one other mechanic. In total it was 4 employees. My GM, AGM, Lead tech, and myself. They taught me everything I know about corporations, mechanics, sales, etc. We do pretty much everything when it comes to mechanics but, mainly work on Semi Trucks. The catch is, we also do road side assistance. Since we are understaffed, we are not 24/7 which means we also do an oncall schedule. (For those of you who don't know that means, certain nights of the week I…
I'm no politician, don't think I ever will be, I hate people in mass. But I will write a book, and try my best to help create anyway to real life changes to the current systems in place. Right now, I'm only an unemployed content creator, a med school dropout, not much in the eyes of society. My book will be called ideal worlds braking down multiple ways in which the current could function with massive societal changes. I would type them all here but who tf really cares. So I'll wait until I'm more “famous”, it's a necessary step to reach my end goal in my life plan as a creative anyways. This post goes out to the future and better work environments and lifestyles for all this project may take years.
