Is it legal for a workplace to conduct lunch box checks at the end of the shift in the USA? For context, I mean in a construction/industrial environment that does not have products created for consumers. What is the legality of this sort of thing and could someone be fired for refusing to allow inspection (person only has food and personal stuff in lunchbox fyi). Thank you in advance.

Weird tips behaviour (UK)
I’ve just started working at this restaurant and I’ve just found out that we don’t get our tips until the 10th of each month. Not only that but management (upper management included) also get 10% of the tips made in the branch. Also a lot of the other staff think the tips aren’t actually being shared fairly. What should I do? Can I do anything?

In May of 2021 I was let go of a very hectic IT servicedesk, where I was working at. A merger was done between two companies of equal size, but the integration was awful, a previous system of IT applications and HR/Facility teams was broken up and the company grinded to a halt, resulting in too much work for the IT dept. 1st. I was let go and as a result the service level dropped even further. 2nd. My manager of my current job actively poached the team lead SD of the other merging partner (he told me of the 1st.) 3rd. I was told by my account manager that she fired that company, especially because the new SDM she found it hard to work with him to resolve staffing issues… Because of this situation I was given back some money because the dismissal in retrospect was wrong.
