Remote Job There's a dude on the team that chats all day literally. He messaged me in private chat one day saying I should let him pick a request as I have done alot and he hasn't done much 🤯 What audacity! I didnt respond to him….you're paid to chat at work do that. I'm doing what they pay me to do. Then another day, he mentioned my base in the general chat where 18 people can read..right after a morningmeeting. Saying he noticed during the meeting that requests were dissapearing in the queue and that he saw that I uploaded something in the SharePoint during the meeting at 9.40. Mind you..meeting ended at 9.30. That ge feels somebody is stealing requests and hoarding it for later 🤯. So I called him out too..saying why has he taken it upon himself to monitor me and that requests could have been…
Another Day

It’s was lame. I’m great, they suck. That is all lol.
Delete if this somehow isn't allowed because generally I do like my job. However I don't work Sundays. It was agreed upon when I took the job because I have other things going on that day. But every few weeks my boss tries to schedule me. I've tried talking to him, emailing him, and he still does it. I normally can still have it off if I ask but he'll give me some guilt trip about it or make it out like he's doing me a favor by giving me the day off. it's an unnecessary confrontation that stresses me out. I shouldn't have to do this every couple weeks when my availability and I have clearly said I can't. Figured I'd reach out to you guys and see if you have craftier ways or more interesting insight, OR even want to vent about how annoying this kinda crap is
It’s been 4 days since my employer decided not to negotiate with me, or even discuss the reason I wanted to leave or discuss my reason for emailing my staff in an outburst. But this isn’t about my resignation; oh no – contrary to popular belief, this is about the aftermath. What happens when a workaholic no longer works? The Five Stages of Employment Grief: Day One: There’s no way they will survive without me. They’ll come crawling back and I’m just gonna say screw it. Day Two: I can’t believe they are going to replace me with that one coworker who sucked at his job. There are so many things he can’t do. Day Three: Alright, this has gone on long enough. I’m sure that if I finish out my duties someone will come calling me, practically wishing I would return. Day Four: Well, this sucks. What the heck…
Because I guess our college educated corporate offices are either too stupid or lazy to find the total themselves. What a joke.
So the government will let me take out $140k as an 18 year old with no collateral or credit check… but won’t let me take out a business loan of more than $25k to start a business without collateral? Even with good credit?? I am ranting here. But I am tired of working under somebody. I want to open my own business. My only debt is my school debt which is about to be due in a couple months. Bill Clinton is seriously an evil person (started the huge amounts of school loans that can be loaned out, also incarcerated so many minorities). It’s just mind blowing that in order to make money, as a worker a college degree is essential. Can barely get a job as a Secretary without one. so they’ll give you egregious amounts in loans, but won’t loan people the capital to fund their own business…
I can't work a job knowing I'll be making the same (technically less with inflation) for the foreseable future, but knowing I'm moving towards something keeps me going. Also join a union.
