It’s me, Bill
It is just ridiculous, you know…
That’s how it works, right?
Are flawed bonus systems legal?
Hey everyone. Sorry to bother as I’m more of an observer here than anything else. I have looked this up on citizens information and all over the web but can’t find a definitive answer so I thought I would tickle your brains for a bit. Unfortunately, right off the bat, I currently work in customer service. In our job we have a bonus scheme where, depending on our scores at the end of each month, we get a certain amount in a bonus. Max is €200 per month for the most tenured agents (myself) Thing is, the system for scoring us is incredibly flawed and almost set up in a way to immediately give us a disadvantage. It is incredibly unfair. I have outlined this to my manager recently In the most detailed way possible (pretty much left her speechless and showed her things she herself never even knew about…
Title says it all, I had to pay £8 for some postage out of my own pocket on behalf of my assistant project manager. This postage was due to some important documents that had to be sent to our government. I didn't get reimbursed for 2.5 months, before going on a visit to meet clients, the same manager asked me if it was OK for me to pay £50 for petrol for the company car. Honestly some of these corporations have no concept of reality to the expenses their employees have to pay for. Especially…

No job lined up but have some savings. Will do door dash or a side job until I decide what I want to do. I realized corporate finance ain’t for me.
Last night at church a couple of the church ladies were complaining about a job hunt. They were looking for second jobs to make ends meet. One lady “Allison” said she'd applied for over 22 jobs in retail and fast food but kept getting told her schedule wasn't open enough because she can't work Sundays or Wednesday nights. She's looking for part-time, like 20 hours a week and can't even get a job in fast food. The other lady “Bethany” has kids and needs a job that allows her to meet the bus because she can't afford daycare. She lamented that everyone is so short staffed, but not willing to work with a schedule. I popped off with “well they just want to monopolize your time in addition to paying you as little as possible. An “open” schedule is impossible if you are looking for a second job”….. I surprised…
