I had been a stay at home mom since I had my twins. Having 3 kids under 3 made working unfeasible. While I was home with them, I had been finishing up my degree, with hopes of getting a teaching job eventually. Fast forward, I had just finished my degree, and the twins were in Kindergarten. I’m 19 and work as a bartender. I just quit today with no notice because I feel I’ve been exploited. I’ve worked 2 12 hour shifts then 2 9 hour shifts back to back. I’m completely drained, I have no life outside work and I’m burnt out to my core. This store was literally the only convenience store in the best part of a pretty decent sized town (census is at almost 100k ppl). When I started they didn't have a “store manager” just the owners wife running the day to day.
