Hello All, This my first post and I appreciate all the tidbits of wisdom that you all post in this subreddit. If a similar post or query was made in the past then I apologize in advance. So I have a question for you all. As the title suggests do you switch off the company provide work phone once you are home? I had a slight argument with my father regarding what happens after you reach home. Or do you leave it on but do not return any phone calls nor text messages on the work phone after 5pm until the following workday? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

Fine its 5 minutes. THEN I get told to open the outside door n let the truck in 15min later in the freezing cold nothing. Closed the door n went to my manager. He told me to wait even though I'm back in at 8am it's 11pm. Don't worry come in later… I replied my gf was waiting from 10.30 (when I was supposed to leave) I know shows run long but making me do 14h plus just coz is a dick move. Got my new store lease today
So this isn’t problem going to be seen but this is prob the best way to quit. So the owner was getting mad that they would have to give all their employees raises and was talking how can’t believe I have to give this young kids X amount of money now and trying ways to figure to minimize their funding on employees. So what they started doing is firing managers who were making a decent amount of money and promoting those younger people into the position for a couple of cents more then what they were making before or having those manager who make a decent amount manage 2 stores.…
I was told to find a new job, so I did
I started working for a field services company about 4 years ago. Early on and over the years I kept taking on other people's roles. Naively thinking that it would get me further ahead with the company. There was a person who worked for them in IT for about 10 years before I joined. He quit to start his own business without training the next person. When I arrived I was asked to fill his role. I was yelled at constantly, expected to deliver without any training. All I had was some log in passwords to the servers and I had to figure out the rest myself. And oh yeah I was expected to do field work as well. Fast forward to this month. I've completely taken over the role and much more. Brought their system to modern standards while flying and driving all over the country. I ask to…
