What are the reasons to move to USA?
Current image of the USA in the media and social media pretty much paints the following image: If you are a regular worker like most of us: -Your government wants to fuck you in the ass -Your employer wants to fuck you in the ass and work you to death at $8/h -Your medical care will not stop your health demise caused by work unless you agree to sell your soul and be a slave for the rest of your life in exchange for a ride in an ambulance -Crime and homelessness seem more and more inevitable to survive But hey! At least you can have your guns so when you come back home after 90h work week and realise you can't even pay your bills you can blast your heads off in the name of fRiDoM! Now, murica bad satire aside, what are some genuine reasons for someone to…
Don’t fuck with IT pros
Im finally done working for agencies.
I am new to the UK and due to having trouble finding jobs that had the hours i needed i took a recommendation to work with an agency. They basically get anyone a job, but the pay isnt fabulous and your hours aren't protected. The first job was great, inspecting car parts at a factory. I did this for a few months and then they told us we have too many workers and that im on hold until further notice. My agency got me hired at a different car factory with a harder job. I was excited to keep the money coming in. But this manager was cruel. I suffer with anxiety and take medication for it. Sometimes i zone out for short moments. This manager literally looked at me with a disgusted look and said are you alright? Is something wrong with you? Are you intoxicated? I said no,…
Working midnight shift at a gas station. We had an outside customer bathroom and a private inside employee bathroom. Guy comes in and asks to use the employee bathroom. Easy no. Here’s the key, use the outside bathroom. Guy makes a big fuss, I’m not budging. 30 minutes or so later, a cop walks in. They got a call. A cop responded that quickly about that call. I explained the situation. Cop wasn’t exactly bothered except He had to pee. Asked to use the employee bathroom. I was young and timid, and honestly, working midnight shift in this part of town, you wanted the police on your side. So sure. Go right ahead. Cops left directly afterwards. A few hours later I went to take a piss only to discover that the cop had pissed all over the bathroom. Walls, floor, seat, sink, everywhere. Just a little reminder that, while…
I would totally watch it
(Reposted) I'll keep this short as possible. I worked at Papa John's for 13+ years. I was a GM for the past 6. I put blood, sweat, and tears into that company. So, obviously this past year with the “labor shortage” we haven't had many employees, and I've been doing allll the work, running doubles (13 hour shifts) back to back most of the week. This past Tuesday I was scheduled to work 10-5, and I had just worked doubles the 3 days prior. Well, of course the person who was supposed to cover the evening shift calls out on Monday. I let my boss know that I had something extremely important to do after work, and there was absolutely no way I could cover that evening shift. He tells me would try his best to find someone. Tuesday comes, and around noon I call my boss to see if…
