Fuck y’all, I’ll find a better job on the clock lol The call was about our organizations partnering but it was just me and the folks who want to hire me. We talked business and then we briefly talked business I’m hype
I went to a restaurant that was hiring and they told me to do a trial the next day. I arrived and started working in the kitchen, no one greeted me, and with signs they told me to talk to the Hispanic guys. Even though I was talking in English the whole time they still thought I was not able to communicate, but oh well I rather speak in Spanish. Anyways, while I was cutting some vegetables I was thinking that it was bananas that they didn't tell me the hours and pay rate. I am making 12 dollars in my current job, I just wanted to know if switching was a good idea. I finally found the hiring lady and asked her about the hours/payment. The answer was: “I can't tell you until the end of the day (11 hours) because if you don't like it then it is…
Local BK seeking servants
I am pretty useless for the first two days of my period. I'm always so fatigued that I could sleep 24/7, my brain is foggy and even a little bit of pain makes it hard to concentrate in that state. And then often I have worse pain and nausea, sometimes to the point that I actually throw up anything that hits my stomach. I wish it was acceptable to have 2-3 optional days off every month. I also don't understand people who have periods who act like its no big deal and we should all pull ourselves together. Erm, sorry, literally noone else would be expected to go to work while feeling this bad. I know that painkillers and pads and the pill etc becoming more accessible helped women to become part of the workforce… but how about we allow women etc in the workforce and don't look down on…
I've been doing light job seeking for the last month or so. Spamming out easy-apply applications on Indeed and LinkedIn, not bothering with cover letters or tailoring my resume. Not looking “hard” for a job right now. I'm in helpdesk work, so there's a lot out there. Long story short (ish):I get a reply from one of the recruiters posting on LinkedIn via chat. They make sure I have Zoom for a remote interview, they're representing a company that is based (they say) in Massachusetts. Their question comes in at noon (Pacific) on Monday and I answer 20 minutes later. I don't get a reply again until 1am (Pacific) and that reply is giving me their HR hiring person's email address to add on Zoom to set up an interview and get more specifics about the job. So I wake up at 9am and add the person (with a .org…

TL;DR: Was prepared to leave for a better position and had to self-isolate due to Covid. Boss called me a liar and I decided to ask for sick leave and never see them again. Just adding to the list of stories and examples of how shitty bosses screw themselves over once you have made the decision to leave for good and they don't realise when they've lost power. A couple of weeks ago I received an offer for my current position, higher pay, better conditions, optional 3 days work from home, lots of things to learn and develop skills. How could I resist? My job back then was underpaid, taking into account the amount of roles and positions I “had” to assume, overtime and overall we had an absolute asshat of a boss who treated everyone badly. It was Friday when I decided to leave, I informed that I would…
