My ex-employer made us work once we qualified making us bank hours that he ended up not paying us. I ended up complaining but instead of getting paid was told I was part of a 'con' and should let it go.** I was then let go permanently**. Well turns out, I wasn't part of any con and that the only con was what came out of his mouth. Management refuses to allocate any funds to marketing. Instead they think I should be cold calling and driving around town to different businesses to market in person. When I asked about reimbursement for my expenses from doing that, boss looked at me like I had two heads! Marketing was not in my job description, neither was working outside of my office. I'm not even in sales or marketing! So they shouldn't have to spend anything on marketing, but I should be happy to spend my own hard earned money on car payments, insurance, and gas to go out marketing for them without reimbursement? The nerve of these people!
