Education yourselves
Okay, I know this isn't the typical post for r/antiwork but my jaw dropped when I saw this posting for U. Maryland. It requires a Ph.D., requires teaching 3 to 4 classes per year, so two/two fall/spring semesters, *and* you are assistant director for this program. The pay: $35 to 40k… like, fuck off, seriously?? Look I accept responsibility for the student loans I took out to get my doctorate but I will be damned if I am going to take a job that pays this laughable salary. Lecturer and Asst. Director
I’m currently weighing some options and if you have examples as to why one state is better I would appreciate it. Thank you!
