I am Ukrainian, and I work at a super super tiny startup in the US. I’ve always loved my company specifically because of the management. But they’ve gone above and beyond and I’d like to share somewhere because I am overwhelmed with emotion. This has been a terrible fucking time as a Ukrainian. I don’t think I need to expand on this. My bosses have not only been insanely understanding and kind, but today, they let me donate a sizable sum to organizations of my choosing. They didn’t want it publicized or anything else. they pretty much just told me, an employee that’s turned pretty fucking useless this past week due to grief, to go pour money to help out where I think it will be best. I feel safe in this workplace. I’m beyond grateful. There is hope. I pray for their success and hope I can contribute in…

I'm sorry if I don't compose this well, never been good at it. 18M here. I studied in that school for 6 years, basically my entire middle school and high school ( grade 5-10). Great school when I joined it. Best in sports ( field hockey champions in entire of South India, and soccer runner ups form 2 years in Entire Bangalore), great academic results, Infrastructure from 1888 that was so well maintained( it still is), amazing extracurriculars. All this was because of a management that actually cared about us. The teachers were well experienced. Strict but so good that some of y'all would have seen them on YouTube. All this changed in my 9th and 10th grade. The management got better offers, and some of them retired. A principle in our school can serve only for 10 years so he too retired. The new management was full of pricks.…
Antiwork is working for my company
I've recently joined a company that had everyone of their workers quit besides 1 guy that managed to turn the ship around. That one guy left standing stood up and told the management that people aren't being paid enough for their work, they don't like working long hours for so little and basically a lot of the points many people on here. So far they've joined a union, cut hours to 4 10 hour shifts a week, our pay has gone up by a staggering 42% and people are valued here because they know what happens when they go unappreciated. The company has been doing incredibly well under this because people are motivated, I personally feel that my hard work actually goes to my own best interest. This fight is worth fighting, the pay off of getting near what our value should be due to inflation is worth it. I've…

As the title says, today I interviewed for a new job. I asked if the work schedule is stable. The lady asked “what do you mean?”. I mean, in my current facility I've had my schedule drastically change from week to week. I might do 7pm-7am one week, 3pm-3am the next, the. 11pm-11am the week after. Her response: “how can they work people like that and expect them not to fall asleep on the job?!”. I thanked her profusely for agreeing with me. I'm doing a plant tour of their climate controlled facility next week 😀 Edit: spelling
