Are you even listening to me?
Had my first in person interview with a Walmartish like business for a leadership role. Told them I lived super close and I did all my grocery shopping there and like the feel of the store when they asked the “why do you wanna work for this store” question. Fast forward to the end of the interview they asked me if I would be comfortable dealing with customers from the area because “you know it is the rougher side of town”. First off it felt 100% like veiled racism, second did you even listen when I told you I lived like a block away. Ummm yeah.

I might be a little older than many of you, born in '73. I had undiagnosed ADHD until my mid-30's. All good now, but it took university away from me, and there's no way I'll catch up, money-wise. Around 36, I'd say, is when the original dream died… You?
Keep spreading awareness
Hello, I need some guidance and I was hoping someone on this subreddit might be able to help me. I work at home depot in California and my new supervisor just told me that I can no longer take bathroom breaks unless they are during my 15 minute break. Is this even legal? I wanted to challenge him on it but I am not very educated in all this stuff so thats why I am posting here. EDIT: Thank you all so much for your help and also for all the laughs!!
I'm the main pusher for this union and need some propaganda.
I worked as a lawyer in a very small office, it was just after i graduated (not long ago), and i had a female boss in her 60´s with a classical case of narcissism. She would take any chance available to put me down, foment a discussion, micromanage my work (which was actually better then hers), but the worse was the money management. In order to see me beg, she would postpone my payments and make me ask many times to be paid, i'm sure it was the feeling of power that was behind that, she had money and would buy things for her house and herself, in front of me, while postponing my salary. Also every chance she had, she would deduct things from my commissions too. For every lawsuit that the office got while i was there, i would earn 20%, as i worked in all the cases…
