What You Should Know About Wendy’s Hamburgers

So, let’s start with introductions. I’m keeping my name off the record, however I was a crew member for Wendy’s for about 3 years, was a manager for about a year totaled. In my experience with Wendy’s, especially in management, there are things that bothered me significantly and what eventually led me to quit. So, let’s start. The first thing is pay: Crew members usually start out at $10 an hour, some with experience or crew members that are in the watching period for management, can make $11. Managers, specifically Shift Supervisor, make $13 starting. Maybe the working environment was good?

Nope. Our environment was both horribly stressful, unorganized, and rather toxic. Now, I will say that we did have a decent relationship with everyone, however, when things became rushed, it was a shit show.

Now, pay raises?

Nope. We finally had a meeting about raising the pay with every GM in the country, and we were all denied. We instead had to go by a rating system. What’s worse? The rating system wasn’t based on individual performance, rather, store performance. Our store was in the middle of the business area, and we had about 4 people. We would get 300 cars in the span of 2-3 hours with 4 people.

We managed to get good times, considering we had decently trained people on the major stations. However, we did not even qualify to be considered for pay raising.

Corporate was also terrible. They would constantly berate us for being “slow” yet wouldn’t do anything to help any location get people.

Now, I know I’m forgetting a lot, however, I will answer every question I can about anything. Please, do not work for Wendy’s, and if you go? Be nice to the people, because we’re probably really really stressed.
