We’ve heard a lot of talk recently about underpopulation. This is a classic swap to divert attention away from the fact that automation is eradicating jobs in droves. But ooooh look, population is dropping, so now these automation jobs are actually saving us from the under-population issue, the companies will probably get tax incentives for reducing jobs next! Thank god for daddies Bezos and Musk!!
Two weeks ago I put in a written request for a vacation day in late November. I received a notice that my request was denied due to it being “past the month of October.” A few days after I was denied, I noticed on the schedule that a coworker was given a vacation day for the same day I was trying to get off. I asked this coworker if it was a planned request from months ago or if she recently requested it. I come to find out that she verbally asked for the day, and was granted it, and it was requested days AFTER I put in for it. This is very minor compared to other things that gets posted here but I’m actually really annoyed by this and 100% about to call out that day
I hope I work for your competitors, too.
Help! Supervision Gone Wrong!
So at my previous employer whom I left because of their financial woes. My supervisor at the time agreed to provide supervision towards my LICSW. In the same, he was providing supervision while I was there( one year )Since my departure, we have met for supervision. During those times, I sensed an unease vibe from him such as rescheduling the times or cancellation the day of. Granted I know people lives are important and he is doing it free of service. I am about 8 months away from completing the required hours and worried that he may have taken on something that he cannot fulfill with providing supervision for free. In addition I am worried that I did these supervision hours for nothing and possibly have to start fresh again. I am at a lost !
The good ole fashioned bait and switch
Started off with 40 hours, then 31, now 23. I'm not.sure how they expect me to live off of this. They make getting another job hard too bc my schedule always changes and I work mid shifts

Pay lower than agreed
So I agreed to take a job in a fine dining restaurant making Neapolitan Pizza and helping other stations when not busy for $20/hr and just received my first paycheck and the paystub says $17/hr. I saw them enter the right amount in the computer on my first day so I know they are trying to pull a fast one. Fuck this shit for real.
I work as a cashier, and after a few years, apart from certain friends and family, I feel like I just hate most people. I'd benefit from therapy if I had access to insurance, but y'know, America. Am I alone?
