i work at a supermarket. On my lunch I was just minding my own buisness on the check out stand. A customer behind me said excuse me. May i put my stuff? I said sure. And i moved out of the way and then. He started to complain that i need to do that. The dividers when you place them in the conveyr belt. I was like what the fuck man. Im not your slave. You can do it yourself you lazy fuck. Well i didnt really say that. I just ignored him. The point is that guy expects me to do something. But im on my goddamn lunch break. Its not that hard to fucking put the fucking dividers hish shit and mine. I swear i was this close to punch him in the face and make him bleed.
Filed prior to Covid. Finally have hearing scheduled. What should I expect??? In 2 years never got a lunch break. Submitted all punches to court to show this. Never got paid overtime. Submitted copies of all paystubs to show this. Had to wait till normal payday to receive final paycheck. Submitted paystubs to show this. Never got breaks. Can’t prove this, except to show punches for normal shifts that demonstrate how only one person would be on duty for morning shift, one person on duty for afternoon shift. Hair salon in CA. Owner wanted to settle for 2k back when claim was initially filed.
My boyfriend is a locksmith. He gets calls on his work phone and drives to wherever the vehicle or home is that needs to be unlocked and does it. Im concerned he isnt getting paid what he should because he gets paid by the job instead of hourly even though hes basically on call… so if one comes in on the other side of town he drives all the way there (In our personal vehicle mind you) and unlocks it and drives back and he makes about 8 dollars for that. Sometimes there are days hes technically working but almost no calls come in so he doesn't get paid for that. He also has to be there within a certain time limit so he has to be available all the time (even when he works overnights). So I guess my question is : is it illegal for him to be…
