I feel like I’m in the Twilight Zone. This can’t be real. My company underwent a management change a month or so ago. I was encouraged to stay on even though it is typical during this kind of transition for employees at my level to be let go. The rest of my team quit and I stupidly stayed on. I showed up for work one day and was locked out of my office and was informed by someone who works below me that I no longer had a job because new management had attempted to reach me at some unspecified point and couldn’t. No one had called, texted, or emailed me. New management didn’t even bother to show up. I’m not even sure if I was officially terminated, I didn’t even sign anything or see any paperwork. I was in shock and simply said “okay” and walked to my car…

The ass hat is officially in control of Twitter. Let's make his company worthless.
Fired for “breach of company policy” apparently collecting evidence of time theft is against policy
Tell me if this sounds legal lol
I work security at a place I can't legally disclose but today over our walkie talkies, a supervisor told us that we have to be in our post in under 7 minutes, and if we don't, we get 15 minutes taken away from our checks and it goes to the officer who was at the post last.
Need to find a new job ASAP because my job is suddenly going to take massive nosedive in quality (even though it was already shit) because of new management coming in.
Tell Me What to Do.
Hello world. Just a little background about myself. I graduated in 2018 with my bachelor's degree and have been job hopping ever since. I've always had two jobs at a time, if not three. It's the only way I've been able to live. I am currently working at a law firm doing legal secretary work for minimum wage. Which is fine and not fine at the same time. My degree is in criminal justice so I do have a little bit of legal studies under my belt but I had never been a legal secretary until I got this position, so the minimal pay is understandable but disappointing. After about 6 months with the firm, I was approached by a superior and asked if I would be interested in taking a legal secretary course, they would be paying. I of course said yes, I've always been one to jump at…
I posted the following about my company in Japan, and some asshole decided to defend it… how do people like this wake up in the morning? My post: Is it possible to anonymously report your company for labor violations? A very significant percentage of my old fashioned traditional Japanese company sign out at a specified time, and then just go back and continue working at their desk into the night. It’s all unpaid, unrecorded time. Is there any way that a labor board could do a surprise inspection without warning, etc? I know they’d try to cover it all up if there was any warning, and I want these practices to stop. Their reply: Why do you care? Because it makes you feel inferior to them as you don't do overtime? If so, this is your problem, not theirs. Because you feel an obligation to be the white armor knight…
it’s been overdue, me applying for a new job, and i planned to force myself to do it before the end of the day, but i’m really caught up on making the best decision about my availability and hours. i want to rekindle my passion i have for music, and i believe i can live a quite minimal lifestyle. at the same time, im sure i’ll feel a bit of guilt, or as if im not doing enough, but i have to learn to get over that. a job, no matter the hours, will mean less guilt than i feel without one, despite how much i don’t like the system and all. thank you so much in advance
