I’m sure my boss wants me to quit
I've been working here for about 5 months (California, USA). There's a big scandal at the company I work for. The Executive Director was calling a bunch of shots without the board's approval, including my salary, PTO, other perks, etc. Well, the ED quit last week and we learned this week that this person made a bunch of empty promises to employees, partners, volunteers, etc. The new ED is cleaning up the mess and they explained to me and my coworkers that the board never approved the former ED'S calls and they can't honor his promises, even if they're in writing as he never had the authority to do so. The new ED let us know that they will decide soon if they're going to terminate the team or not, but if we decide to stay, then our roles and expectations would have to be redefined … especially because most…
Friend of mine lives in the general Wales area, United Kingdom. He works in the transportation industry, his manager told him he will be let go because he keeps waking around during work hours and not concentrating on the work that he has been given. Those are some of his quirks. I wanna know if there's anything I can do to help him out. Is there any government office that could protect him from getting fired? Anyone he can get in contact with? I don't want to disclose too much information about him, I just wanted to know if there are any knowledgeable people that can point me to the right direction. I went to other subreddits, specially ones about adults on the spectrum and they sent me here. I just don't want him to loose his job.
